The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the churches in Nepal.  Quoting from Christianity Today,
 

“From February 2021 to today more than 500 pastors and their families have contracted the coronavirus...  Many young [pastor's] wives have lost their husbands. Some children have lost their both father and mother, and the number of semi-orphans and complete orphans remained still unaddressed,”
